How to Install Ovaela on Your Phone

Add Ovaela to your home screen for instant access, push notifications, and offline support. Works on iPhone, Android, and desktop.

Ovaela is a Progressive Web App (PWA). That means you can install it directly from your browser, no App Store or Play Store needed. Once installed, it looks and feels like a native app with its own icon, full-screen experience, and push notifications.

Why install?

Installing unlocks push notifications so your AI can alert you when it finds new wellness patterns, remind you to check in, and send weekly health snapshots. It also loads faster and works offline.

iPhone / iPad (Safari)

iOS requires Safari for PWA installation, it won't work from Chrome or Firefox on iPhone.

Tip

After installing, open the app from your home screen (not Safari) and allow notifications when prompted. This is the only way to receive push notifications on iOS.

Android (Chrome)

Chrome on Android supports automatic install prompts. You may see a banner at the bottom of the screen, or you can install manually:

Tip

When the app first opens after install, tap "Allow" on the notification permission prompt. This lets the AI send you wellness insights and check-in reminders.

Desktop (Chrome, Edge, Arc)

You can also install Ovaela on your computer for quick access:

Enabling Push Notifications

After installing, the app will ask for notification permission. Here's what notifications you'll receive:

You can customize which notifications you receive in Settings > Notifications at any time.

Troubleshooting

I don't see "Add to Home Screen" on iPhone

Make sure you're using Safari, not Chrome, Firefox, or any other browser. iOS only supports PWA installation from Safari.

The install prompt doesn't appear on Android

Try opening the three-dot menu manually and looking for "Install app" or "Add to Home screen." If neither option appears, make sure you're using an up-to-date version of Chrome.

Notifications aren't working

Check your device settings: go to Settings > Notifications on your phone and make sure Ovaela (or your browser) has notification permission enabled. On iOS, you must open the app from the home screen icon, notifications don't work when opened through Safari directly.
