Your health data is deeply personal. We built Ovaela from the ground up with privacy and security as non-negotiable foundations, not afterthoughts.
Encrypted at Rest & In Transit
Your health data is encrypted when it's stored and when it moves between your device and our servers, using industry-standard encryption (AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.2+ in transit).
We Never Sell Your Data
Your health data is yours. We will never sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything other than providing you with wellness insights. Period.
You Control Who Sees It
Only you can see your health data. If you choose to share a wellness summary with your doctor, you pick exactly what to share, and you can revoke access at any time.
Delete Everything, Anytime
You can permanently delete all your health data with one click. When you delete, we remove it from our active systems, and copies in our routine encrypted backups are removed as those backups age out of our backup-retention cycle. (A minimal consent and access log is retained where needed for security, consent history, and legal requests.)
Hardened Cloud Infrastructure
We've built our security practices around industry-standard safeguards. Your data lives in a secure, managed cloud environment (Supabase) with encryption and automatic backups.
No Employee Snooping
No Ovaela employee can view your individual health data without a formal access request that is logged in our audit trail. We take internal access as seriously as external threats.
AI Safety Guardrails
Every AI response passes through a code-level safety filter before you see it. If the AI tries to use clinical language, make diagnoses, or provide medical advice, the response is automatically blocked and rewritten.
Transparent & Auditable
We log every access to health data, who accessed it, when, and why. You can request a full accounting of how your data has been used at any time.
